Jasmin Carnelus is a California based License Marriage and Family Therapist and Qualified Substance Abuse Professional under the Department of Transportation. She received a bachelors degree in psychology from Howard University and a masters degree in clinical psychology with an emphasis in marriage and family therapy from Pepperdine University.
Since the beginning of her time as a practicing therapist, Jasmin has worked with many different populations in residential and outpatient settings, but her passion is in the field of substance abuse. She has worked with pregnant and postpartum women trying to maintain sobriety and currently works in the field of aviation. Jasmin’s ultimate goal is to help others navigate the trials and tribulations of life and come to a point where they are thriving and living authentically. Jasmin is a PsyD candidate focusing on therapy in the Black community. She is passionate about issues facing the community and is dedicated to shifting the stigma surrounding mental health.
In addition to her work in aviation, Jasmin also works with clients via the online therapy platform, Talkspace. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, attending music concerts and musicals, and binge watching Criminal Minds.
